Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Wards in a permanent position (0.8–0.9 FTE). This role offers the chance to provide exceptional nursing care in an acute setting while working closely with medical specialists to deliver patient-focused outcomes. As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality care across a variety of specialties. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, medication administration, and responding promptly to changes in condition. Success in this role requires strong organisational skills, adaptability, and confidence in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. You’ll be joining a collaborative team that values excellence and culturally responsive care. Strong communication skills, the ability to build therapeutic relationships, and resilience under pressure are essential.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Current New Zealand Registered Nurse practising certificate 
  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in an acute care setting 
  • Ability to work flexibly across multiple specialties and adapt to changing clinical needs within the hospital 
  • Strong clinical assessment skills 
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude 
  • Previous experience in private healthcare is an advantage
