New Plymouth Hospital was established in 1983 and is the only private surgical hospital in the city. We provide services to around 6000 patients each year. Our dedicated, fun team provides services and excellent post-operative nursing care across a wide range of elective surgical services, including orthopaedic surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral and facial maxillary, urology, otolaryngology (ENT), plastic reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, and general and endoscopic surgery.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
We are looking for a Qualified Sterile Services Technician to join our Sterile Services team.
As part of the Sterile Services team, you will be required to provide a high standard of sterilising service consisting of the decontamination, inspection, testing, assembly, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices. This specifically involves the reprocessing of contaminated sets of surgical instruments, accessories and other related equipment used within our operating theatres.
We are looking for the successful candidate to work 0.8 – 1 FTE.
